Watch out Benedict Cumberbatch. There’s another Benedict who can pry women’s (and men’s too) attention from you. Benedict—the gourmet café—at Grand Indonesia Shopping Town, Jakarta is one of The Union Group’s establishments that specialise in all-day breakfast menus, desserts, and coffee.

Wouldn’t it be a crime if a café called Benedict didn’t serve killer Eggs Benedict?

Benedict indeed serves delicious Eggs Benedict. In fact, they have four different types of it: Classic, Florentine, Mexican, and Pork Belly. While I’m in love with the Pork Belly Eggs Benedict, the Mexican one offers a more interesting twist to this breakfast classic. Those earthy and spicy Mexican flavours combined with hollandaise sauce and runny egg yolk? Truly exceptional.

Benedict is a great place for all occasions: business meeting, catching up with friends, or even a romantic meal. Accompanied with a cup of Piccolo Latte—mine is served with a piece of Lindt’s chocolate— from Toby’s Estate Coffee Roasters and the groovy sound of “New York Afternoon”, Benedict simply makes you feel good.
