Tapas Fun at TAPA Bistro

Tapas Fun at TAPA Bistro

The Indonesian word tapa perhaps would be best translated into meditate in English. People meditate for a lot of reasons: to manage stress, to have peace, and to get a sense of contentment. But some people choose not to achieve those feelings through meditation — they choose food instead. Nutrition experts even say that what you eat can effect how you feel! We believe this is what TAPA at The Balé, Bali is trying to obtain.

To push this theory even further, it’s probably mandatory to mention that TAPA is beautifully decorated in purple hues, the most powerful colour of the rainbow. It represents magic, royalty, and spiritual fulfilment. See? Foodies would agree that food is the magical remedy to soothe the soul.

Anyway, enough with the spiritual mumbo-jumbo.

Wouldn’t it be extremely funny if a bistro called TAPA didn’t serve great tapas? Luckily, TAPA does serve a variety of delicious tapas menu. In fact, the entire menu is offered in the size of an appetizer, so you can eat a bunch of different dishes! It enables you to eat ‘Sate Lilit’, ‘Goat Cheese Ravioli’, ‘Reef Fish Ceviche’, and ‘Soto Ayam’ in one mealtime. And you would still have some room for dessert!

While looking at TAPA’s food menu is like taking a trip around the world, the beverage menu is like walking through a candy store. The ‘TAPA Sling’ — made of citrus vodka mixed with blue curaçao, gin, light rum, and sprite — is blue-coloured, and the ‘Frangipani Bellini’ comes in a gorgeous pink shade. TAPA also prides itself on its home-made fresh Sangria, guaranteed to brighten up your day. If you picked the right day to visit, you could enjoy all of that accompanied by some funky beats from live DJs and acoustic performers!
