Tony Roma’s Jakarta: Best Pork Ribs in Town!

Tony Roma’s Jakarta: Best Pork Ribs in Town!

The history of Tony Roma’s dates back to 1972 in North Miami, Florida. Seven years later, the first international franchise popped out in Tokyo, Japan. Today, there are more than 150 outlets in at least 30 countries all across the world, including in Indonesia. After the two first outlets in Jakarta (Panin Center Senayan and Jalan Wahid Hasyim) closed down after years of operation, now Tony Roma’s is back up and running at Thamrin Nine, PX Pavilion The St. Moritz, Gandaria City, and MaxxBox.

Although it began as a steak and burger restaurant, Tony Roma’s is well loved for its Baby Back Ribs. It is a dish of tender, lean pork loin meat, served with Tony Roma’s signature BBQ sauce, cole slaw, and choice of mashed potatoes or french fries. Depending on your appetite and how many people you’re dining with, there are three sizes: Half Slab, Regular Slab, and Full Slab. Full Slab is more than enough to share between two people. Besides Baby Back Ribs, Tony Roma’s is also famous for their St. Louis Ribs and Blue Ridge Smokies.

Aside from their impressive ribs menu, Tony Roma’s also offers chicken, seafood, burger, salad, sandwiches, and steaks, among others. Special mention goes to Potato Skins on the appetizer list. Their potato skin is baked, scooped, and stuffed with plenty of cheddar cheese, bacon, and sour cream. A very guilty dish for the health enthusiasts, but just perfect for a cheat day!

With years of experience under their belt serving Baby Back Ribs, no wonder Tony Roma’s remains the go-to favorite restaurants for many people. Cost is relatively pricey, but definitely worth the delicious food and friendly service. The luxurious yet comfortable dining space will relax your nerves and set up the scene well for your special occasion. Make sure to book a seat beforehand, especially during weekend.
