Tea Timing at Amyrea Art & Kitchen

Tea Timing at Amyrea Art & Kitchen

Coffee has permeated its way into streets and nooks of Jakarta, but what about tea? Aside from the usual traditional sweetened black tea and Chinese tea at dim sum restaurants, Jakarta is not yet hit by “the tea shop wave”. However, one or two pop every now and then, starting at the malls, Kebayoran, Gading Serpong, and recently at Kelapa Gading. Yes, we’re talking about Amyrea Art & Kitchen.

Strategically located around the neighbourhood that also houses numerous specialty coffee shops, Amyrea Art & Kitchen differs itself by serving organic tea made of whole, unbroken tea leaves and floral tea. Organic tea is rich in antioxidant, which equals to plenty of health benefits—we’re talking cancer and cardiovascular disease prevention. Good stuffs.

The tea comes in a set of gorgeous glass pot and cup, and a mini hourglass on the side. Flip the hourglass, and when the sand has completely trickled to the lower bulb, your tea is ready for consumption. We tried two types of floral tea: White Tea Peach Blossom and White Tea Pink Peony. Both were light, fragrant, and refreshing. Amyrea has samples on the counter, so give all of them a sniff until you find one that suits your liking. Happy tea-time!
